Many music lovers are attracted to tube amplification but are concerned about adjustment, tube replacement and everyday reliability. PrimaLuna’s designs are intended to make valve ownership more approachable while preserving the qualities that bring listeners to tube amplifiers in the first place.

The range includes integrated amplifiers, preamplifiers, power amplifiers and selected source components. Some models are entirely tube-based, while the EVO Hybrid combines a tube preamplifier stage with solid-state power amplification. These are different solutions for different systems; one is not automatically better for every customer.

The loudspeaker comes first

A tube amplifier should never be selected by price or rated power alone. Loudspeaker sensitivity and impedance, room size, listening distance and preferred volume all affect the result. We therefore start with the loudspeakers and the room, then consider which PrimaLuna model is technically and financially sensible.

Customers who already own loudspeakers are welcome to contact us with the exact model and basic room information. Customers building a new system can compare amplification and loudspeaker combinations rather than purchasing components independently and hoping they work together.

Advice continues after purchase

We assist with connections, loudspeaker tap selection where applicable, initial operation, tube questions and system setup. Our purpose is not simply to deliver a box; it is to help the owner use the amplifier correctly and enjoy it over time.
